Edible gold leaf sheets (E-175) for the professional chef, caterer or passionate home cook
GoldGourmet’s edible gold leaf sheets are made with 23 karat genuine gold. We process the gold in several steps, creating ultra-thin sheets with a final thickness of only 0.000125 millimeters – far thinner than a sheet of paper. Gold leaf sheets add seductive sparkle to fine dishes, cakes, confections, candy and more. Our edible gold leaf is popular with restaurants, hotels and event/catering services worldwide.

What’s the difference between Loose and Transfer Sheets?
Loose Gold Leaf Sheets: gold sheets are cut into squares, then inserted between booklets with extra thin paper pages. The gold leaf sheets can be easily lifted and handled with our large special brush.
Transfer Gold Leaf Sheets: once the gold leaf sheets are cut into squares and inserted into the booklet interleaved with tissue squares, we apply pressure to adhere the gold leaf to the tissue. You can lift each gold leaf with its backing tissue from the booklet and place it gold side down onto your food surface. Pressing gently on the paper helps the gold release and stick to food surfaces.
Are all gold leaf sheets edible?
Most of the gold leaf produced today is used for architectural and artistic projects and does not meet standard food requirements, so we recommend purchasing edible gold leaf made with real gold (E-175) only from certified manufacturers. Gold Gourmet Edible Gold Leaf Sheets are produced according to strict standards, tested and certified!
Is it better to add gold leaf before baking, cooking or frying your food or after?
It’s always best to add the gold leaf as a decoration after baking, cooking or frying your food. This allows you to place the gold precisely on the food, where it will remain clearly visible in the desired location.
