FAQ
How do I care for my Special Brushes?
Your brushes should be completely dry and oil-free when using. After use, rest the brush on a clean, level surface. You can then wipe the bristles with a clean, dry kitchen or paper towel, flip the brush, and repeat on the other side. If your brush gets sticky or oily, wash gently by hand with warm water and a small amount of dish soap, rinse clean, then allow the synthetic hair to dry completely before the next use.
Which brush size is right for my food gilding project?
The special Small Brush is great for picking up all types of Edible Gold and Silver Flakes. The Medium or Large Brushes allow you to pick up Edible Gold and Silver Leaf Sheets one after the other from the booklet.
Can I use a brush to handle Transfer Leaf?
Edible Gold and Silver Transfer Leaf Sheets can’t be picked up with a brush. Instead, their backing tissues make it easy to pick up and place the leaves where you want them.
More information on how to use Edible Transfer Leaf can be found here.
What are the bristles of the Gold Leaf Brushes made of?
