Can gold leaf be added to any alcoholic beverage?

The law regulates how gold leaf (E-175) may be used in alcoholic beverages. Every country has its own regulations. In most European countries for example gold is allowed to be used in liqueurs. But there are exeptions! We therefore advise you to check the legal regulations of your destination country.

We are happy to share our experience in this regard with you and point out possibilities. However, as regulatory changes constantly occur, it is in your responsibility to verify any country-specific information you receive from us.

From our experience we recommend our customers to use approx. 10 – 50 grams of gold per 1000 liters of liquid for a visually appealing result.
